About Jin-Ho Park
For clients carrying achievement pressure and family duty in equal measure: sessions blend CBT structure with space for the things achievement culture leaves unsaid.
Jin-Ho Park is a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO #008934) practicing in Vancouver with a focus on identity formation, immigrant experience, and intergenerational family dynamics. His practice serves 1.5 and second-generation Korean-Canadian clients navigating between cultures.
Born in Seoul and raised in Vancouver from age six, Jin-Ho brings lived experience to the work of cultural integration. Many of his clients are professionals carrying achievement pressure from immigrant parents while building lives that diverge from inherited blueprints — a tension he understands from the inside.
Jin-Ho practices in both Korean and English, integrating cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and culturally adapted family-systems work. He maintains a small caseload of 12-15 active clients to preserve depth of work.
Session formats: In-person at the Mount Pleasant office (50-min sessions) and virtual. Bilingual Korean/English sessions available. Insurance billing supported.
How my background shapes my work
The Korean concept of jeong — that bond formed through shared experience over time — informs how I think about therapy. The therapeutic relationship isn't an exchange; it's a slowly built understanding. I work with clients in that frame.
