Marcus Williams

Marcus Williams is a Registered Psychotherapist practicing in Halifax with a focus on men’s mental health, identity, and the specific psychological landscape of being a Black man in Atlantic Canada. He has eight years of clinical experience.

Raised in the African Nova Scotian community, Marcus grounds his practice in the understanding that Nova Scotia’s Black history doesn’t appear in most mental health frameworks — and that absence shapes how Black Nova Scotian clients arrive at therapy. His work bridges that gap.

Marcus integrates narrative therapy, somatic awareness, and culturally grounded relational practice. He works primarily with Black men aged 25-55, and maintains availability for community-rate sessions through African Nova Scotian community partnerships.

Session formats: In-person at the Halifax office (50-min sessions) and virtual. Insurance billing supported. Community-rate sessions available through African Nova Scotian community organizations.
